Target, Old Navy, PacSun, LimeRicki
Can I just say I am so ready for summer/late spring and to wear normal clothes again?
(I actually wore flip flops today, and seriously thought about putting on shorts.)
I'm especially excited for the fourth of July.
Also, I've kinda been dying to go running, and I HATE running.

This weekend...
On Friday I went shopping with my mom and attempted to help her decorate her new office, then after we ate dinner with Jeremy's parents, we went shopping with my mom again, this time at ross, then we helped her get pictures for a picture frame. And then we used my moms phone to facetime Kelly and talked to her for a long time, she gave us a tour of her new apartment and told us all about her job interviews.
On Saturday we went up to Medford to tour our apartment (well what will hopefully be our apartment) we are in love with it. It's nice and little and cute and we really like it. There was another couple viewing it at the same time (it was a little awkward, but we already have our application in so HA! But if they become our neighbors when the apartment upstairs is open we would be okay with that, they seemed like nice people). After we saw it we went to this nifty little book store, well it's a book exchange, everything in there is FREE. The rules on the door said something like
1. If you see something and think it belongs somewhere else, move it.
2. If you feel weird taking stuff, don't.
3. If you still feel weird taking stuff leave a cash donation at the door.
4. If you have a few minutes ask the volunteer on staff what you can do to help.
5. If you have a lot of time ask about becoming a regular volunteer.
Then outside they had a shed that was the "drop box" so you could just leave your donations. When we left the lady was very disappointed we were leaving empty handed. And their is a sign on the door that says "2 dollars at the door with keep us going". It was a really cool place so if anyone ever comes and visits us and you want to go let us know and we will take you! We also walked around the mall for a while until I was tired and grumpy then we left.
When we got back to town my mom wanted us to come over and go through all their books and take what we wanted then Amanda and her family was in town so we stayed and visited for a while then we went to dinner with Amanda and Jeremy and then we went to black light miniature golf, when we realized we wouldn't be making it to any of the movies, and then we went to cold stone. It was a lot of fun! And that is the story of our weekend.

19 July 2011

Last night was a good night.

After Jeremy got home from work he and his dad made a delicious vanilla milk shake.

Vanilla Milkshake picture

Then we went to see Judy Moody and the NOT Bummer Summer at the dollar theatre (yes we use the fancy spelling because it was a date night). I loved the movie. Ken and Debbie tried to convince us to go see a different movie with them but I am so glad we didn't. I do have to say it was pretty dang funny, Jeremy even liked it.

When we walked out of the theatre we were welcomed by the sweet smell of summer rain (our favorite).
And then because we hadn't eaten a real dinner, we sat in the Panda Express parking lot and ate chow-mien while we listened to the rain pound on our car.

It was a good way to start off the week, for sure.
{even though it was more of FHE than a date that's okay...because I was still with my favorite person ever}

18 July 2011

So I fail at taking pictures. So you get some googled pictures...sorry. And the ones taken on my phone (I don't really know where my camera is at the moment...and besides that we only took like two). We had a great time on the family camping trip. We stayed at the Santa Margarita KOA.
While we were there we went to Pismo beach a few times, saw Cars 2, ate lots of good food....bacon every day for breakfast : )....We also went to Hurst's Castle.
We were a little disappointed in the "Castle". It just wasn't the prettiest place we have every seen, it didn't meet our expectations of a castle. It seemed like it was just a giant house full of a mich-match of stuff because he couldn't decide what he really wanted. I did like hearing the history of the place though...like...
It's really a cattle farm and has been for a long time. Mr Hurst used to camp on the property with his family as a kid. When he started building on the land he wanted a little cabin to continue to camp on the land...but turned into a much much larger place. Which leads to my favorite part: the dinning room; he set the table like it was when he was a little kid. As if the people there were camping. With ketchup and mustard bottles right on the table, I have a picture somewhere. I also loved the pools...not just because of the chlorine smell. The indoor pool has gold tiles...which were/are ordered from Italy.

Once a year they auction off a "Swim for Ten" people, which usually goes for about $3,000-$5,000. Also when you retire from working there they let you jump off the diving platform. Another interesting fact...there is a section of the pool that is 3' deep and that is the women had to stay while swimming and the other part of the pool is all 10' (?). Also Mr. Hurst used to have animals all over like polar bears, zebras....I don't remember the rest BUT there is still a pack of zebras that roam that area, we didn't see it though :/
Other random pictuers....

hats we saw on the peir....
one of the 57 highways we took home...yes it was a two way highway.
 our wannabe starburst stone hedge.
trying to keep myself entertained.
We also played lots and lots of card games. Tried to stay clean (it was super dusty), avoided the flys and mosquitoes, and got a serious leg workout multiple times a day (the campground was on a hill...we were at the top and the only bathrooms/showers were at the very bottom).

05 July 2011

we're going camping! be back next week.
well...maybe...then we have a birthday party on friday {in luke's words "it's far far away"}, then on friday we're off to SOU for Jeremy's orientation and to look for somewhere to call home. so we may not be back for a while.

note to self: post about mom and dads anniversary party...that i completely forgot about.

20 June 2011

I am totally blanking on everything that has happened since this month began...but here we go anyway.

love,

01 June 2011

So last Thursday we thought we had a ward picnic, so we got already, left work early and made the hour and a half trek up the mountain and when we got to the park right on time NOBODY was there. So we waited at this cute little park and no one came. After a half hour we gave up and went home. Turns are it's this week at our ward building. We aren't sure if it got canceled and we didn't get the memo, or if somewhere in our little heads the information was wrong. But thats okay we went home with our four dozen mini Mt. Dew cupcakes and ate tri-tip tacos.

31 May 2011

This weekend we moved to Redding for the week; we're house sitting from some for Jeremy's parents friends. Saturday went to a sweet birthday party at the skating rink. Sunday we went to church and played games at the Eliason's. On Monday we were planning on laying in bed watching TV all day but then Justin and Dorothy asked if we wanted to go to some falls with them and we said YES!
please excuse my lazy, squished eye and the fatty zit on my lip.
The park had botanical gardens, they were gorgeous.
haha
Okay so these pictures won't rotate...dumb!

Justin and Dorothy
We ate lunch at Dunsmuir community part, it's a cute one. Then we went to Mossprey (spelling?) Falls in Dunsmuir. {Dorothy thought she knew where we were going (shes the only one who had been there or even heard of it) but we ended up having to text uncle Dwayne to ask for directions.} They are very pretty, I didn't get a ton of pictures because we didn't take our camera down to the falls {it's a long walk down rail road tracks and it was raining}. It was a good way to start off the summer, minus the rain.

20 May 2011

I only have one more week of school and I am ready to be done! Jeremy and I are both excited for summer to be here! When summer ends we are MOVING! Jeremy was excepted to Southern Oregon University and were excited to move.
There are some things we want to do this summer though.
Like go to a flea market!
Visit a lot more yard sales...
Go Camping!
Celebrate Our Birthdays!...my birthmonth starts in just eleven days!
Make this skirt...
Visit some waterfalls
and of course go to the lake!
I am ridiculously ready for summer!
